Lead the strategic direction for Conglomerates and Real Estate business segments within a renowned global banking division, influencing key decisions at the highest level. Your day-to-day responsibilities will centre around developing strategies that aligns with MUFG’s overall objectives in APAC. By collaborating with senior leaders, you will help set ambitious goals while identifying new market opportunities that keep the bank ahead of industry trends. You will champion innovation in product offerings by working closely with internal teams to ensure solutions remain relevant for diverse client needs. Building strong relationships with major conglomerates and real estate firms will be essential as you deliver bespoke financial solutions tailored to each client’s unique challenges. In addition to managing budgets efficiently, you will nurture a talented team through mentorship, training programmes, and regular feedback sessions—creating an environment where everyone can thrive. Develop and implement comprehensive strategic plans for Conglomerates and Real Estate clients that align with broader organisational objectives across APAC. Collaborate closely with senior management to establish long-term goals, initiatives, and performance indicators that drive business success. Identify emerging market trends and opportunities to strengthen competitive positioning within Hong Kong’s corporate banking sector. Work with internal stakeholders to innovate product offerings tailored to the evolving needs of Conglomerates and Real Estate clients. Promote cross-selling initiatives to corporate customers by leveraging deep industry insights and relationship networks. Drive revenue growth through effective portfolio management while monitoring financial performance metrics to achieve profitability targets. Oversee budgeting processes for Conglomerates and Real Estate teams, ensuring optimal resource allocation and operational efficiency. Build and maintain robust relationships with major clients, delivering customised financial solutions that address unique industry requirements. Mentor, lead, and develop a high-performing team of relationship managers and banking professionals by fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence. What you bring: To excel as Managing Director, Deputy Head of Conglomerates and Real Estate in Global Corporate Banking Division, Hong Kong, your background should reflect substantial experience in delivering sophisticated financing solutions tailored for varied client profiles. Your interpersonal skills will be crucial for forging enduring partnerships with conglomerates and real estate clients in Hong Kong. Strong track record of success in identifying, structuring and delivering financing solutions to conglomerates and real estate clients in Hong Kong. Exceptional marketing acumen combined with proven relationship management skills that enable you to build trust with high-value clients across multiple industries. Ability to engage effectively at Senior Management level with Global and Regional peers and other stakeholders through clear communication channels. Collaborative team player and highly adaptable to the changing needs of internal and external customers. Strong negotiations, communication, presentation and influencing skills. Leadership experience including decision-making capabilities honed through years of managing high-performing teams within large organisations. Proficiency in spoken & written Chinese Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification from a recognised institution Minimum 15 years’ experience in banking including at least 5 years spent leading teams or managing direct reports within a similar capacity.
