As a key link between engineering and support staff, the IT Team Leader consistently ensures a positive support experience for clients by managing, motivating and developing a team of engineers and by continually identifying and implementing system improvements. Depending on their level of expertise, the IT Team Leader has further responsibilities in managing first-line IT issues. Key Accountabilities Review the work of an operations team that is part of a shift rotation in a production environment while being accountable for production monitoring, incident management and shift leadership. Motivate, manage and organize engineers on the team, including work activity prioritization and performance management. Perform the role of duty manager and/or technical incident lead during serious incidents. Ensure consistent and efficient project handover between engineering and support, for internal and external clients. Supervise project work to help implement best support practices. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required 3+ years of experience in team leadership. Experience with OpenShift systems regarding configuration and administration. Experience with Linux systems regarding configuration and administration. Experience with Storage servers regarding configuration and administration. Experience with VMware servers regarding configuration and administration. Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Good English communication skills (written and oral). Ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly. Team player.
