We value the right qualities more than experience – a curious mind, excellent communication, and a caring nature are key. Even though you'll be comfortable working independently, you'll be part of a supportive team with dedicated technical and managerial support. Along with visits to claimants’ properties in the South East, we are happy for your base to be a balance of our office and your home. This is perfect for detail-oriented problem-solvers, with a passion for helping people, who crave variety and want to build a rewarding career. The skills you will have when you apply: Experience handling commercial property and real estate claims (experience in other fields of adjusting will be considered), Proficiency with scoping and scheduling reinstatement works, Technical knowledge of liability, quantum and validation, and Experience managing a portfolio of claims including report writing and supplier management. What is helpful, but not vital, in your application CILA or CII qualified or international equivalent or working towards qualifications, Experience with Delegated Authority handling up to the value of £100,000.00. Excellent communication skills : You'll speak with and write to policyholders, insurers, contractors, and more. You’ll explain complex details clearly and negotiate fair settlements for all. Problem-solving abilities : You should be able to identify and solve problems efficiently Time management : As you’ll be planning your own week you must effectively manage your time, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines. You will be required to handle multiple claims simultaneously. Have an understanding of how a home insurance policy operates and the basic make up of a commercial property. The skills that will be developed once working: We are investing heavily in training our people including hiring technical experts to develop bespoke training programmes. Regular sessions on topic specific training are given through the year supplemented by online courses. Support and financial incentives are given to those seeking to become professionally CILA or CII qualified.
