The Opportunity This position works out of our Casa Grande, Arizona location in the Abbott Nutrition division. What You’ll Work On: Be a Key Team Member: Work alongside Operations to minimize downtime and keep production on schedule. Troubleshoot & Repair: Diagnose complex equipment issues, perform root cause analysis, and repair high-speed filling, packaging, and conveying systems. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Execute PMs, support autonomous maintenance, and plan major repairs during scheduled shutdowns. Fabricate & Upgrade: Design, weld, and install mechanical and electronic components; perform PLC program changes and maintain AC drive systems. Collaborate & Improve: Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing to implement design changes and continuous improvement initiatives. Train & Mentor: Share your expertise with peers and provide technical guidance to improve team capabilities. Ensure Compliance: Follow GMP, FDA, USDA, OSHA, and company safety standards in all tasks. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required; technical training preferred. 2+ years of multi-craft maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong skills in mechanical, electrical, PLC troubleshooting, and fabrication. Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and use precision tools. Position Details Shift: 12-hour Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) Schedule: Enjoy every other weekend off with a consistent 4-week rotation: Sample Rotation: Week 1: Wed & Thurs (12 hrs) Week 2: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, Sun (12 hrs) Week 3: Same as Week 1 Week 4: Same as Week 2 This schedule offers stability and work-life balance while providing opportunities for overtime.
