      JOB DESCRIPTION: MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE Lead, develop, implement and foster an environment of technical expertise and scientific methodologies overseeing facilities and maintenance management, environmental, health and safety program adherence, manufacturing problem solving, new product introduction, program management, and financial planning and budgeting to execute global Engineering projects with increased complexity.   MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Communicate overall strategic vision, processes, structure and skill sets required in the engineering departments to support site objectives. Manage, coach and mentor technical leaders in the EH&S, facilities, maintenance, manufacturing engineering, manufacturing engineering services, new product introduction and design transfer departments. Promote knowledge sharing, scientific thinking and methodologies implementation through case studies and communities of practice within and outside the site. Monitor and enhance the project management office (PMO) function to prioritize, plan, execute, monitor and control, and deliver on approved projects while sharing lessons learned. Oversee the allocation of technical resources, approved contractors, subject matter experts, training programs and development opportunities to optimize plant performance and product availability. Liaise with other operational areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project. Conduct meetings, prepare and approve content to communicate status of various engineering initiatives across the site. Set priorities, allocate tasks, and coordinate technical staff to meet functional targets and milestones.   QUALIFICATIONS Education: +13 years in biomedical, electrical/electronics, industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering required.       Experience/Background: Minimum 15 years   Engineering management, project management, or business administration masters preferred. Lean Six Sigma, Project Management training required, certification preferred; EH&S, facilities and/or quality engineering management professional certification preferred. Coach, mentor and nurture engineering teams to achieve complex goals and initiatives, and to execute large scale projects in support of business objectives. Create, develop and implement broad initiatives to retain and promote key talent, while driving scientific and robust problem-solving curricula. Participate in various forums and meetings representing the business and ensure the quality systems and site guidelines protect patient safety, employee well-being, and support environmental and social responsibility.
