About the role Provides technical assistance to e ngine e ring to support manufactur i ng efforts by imp lem e n t ing correct i ve and preventat i ve actions. Assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to control or improve manufacturing proce sses. What You’ll Do Assists engineering in providin g manufacturing support by   l earning to analyse data and identify manufactu r ing i ss ue s and trends. May also train operators on basic proce sses and engineering changes, and perfo r m operator certification on - the- job training and testing. Assists in identifying manufac t uring is s ues by working with   engineering to determine root cause and implement co rrective   and pr e ventat i ve action. L ea rn s proce ss to disposition non - conforming material b y   ut ili s ing qua li ty tools and by developing know ledg e of manufacturing practices and procedures. Helps to deve lo p and i mplement proces s improvement s b y   assisting engineering i n res ear chin g and va l idatin g changes in processe s/e quipm e nt and te st m et hods to i mprove y i e l d and/or   reduce cycle t im e per established procedures. Ass i sts engineering in s upportin g process development dur i ng   new product introduction by pro v id in g input to traceab i l it y and in s p ec tion requireme nts , prov i ding input for sta tistica l proc ess contro l c r iter i a, de ve lopin g manufacturing in st ructi o n s, and creating train i ng s heet s and certifications. As s ists engineering with qu al i fication a n d va li dat ion studies and   rep or t s b y collecting , compiling , me as ur i n g, organising and recordin g da ta, and by writing pro ced ure s . Applies broad knowledge of general technical concepts and practices and a general understanding of product or systems fundamentals. Utilises increased knowledge of numerical and statistical data and computer software programs to resolve non­ routine/moderately complex problems. Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations. Performs non-routine to moderately complex technical assignments using sta ndard methods and se q uences . Performs set-up, te s ting , repair, inspection, and/o r maintenance of all area-spec ifi c equipm e nt , materials, systems, and/or product. Makes adjustments, modification s, a nd replacements as directed. Assignments require broad jud g m e nt in troubleshooting proven processes as well as the ability to suggest alternatives. Regularly presents findings to cross-functional teams and begins to win support for ideas. Can adequately write procedures and product disposition documentation that may be presented to external auditing bodies. Mentors new team members. Ensures open communication within group and across shift and relevant functions to resolve technical issues and promote learning. Plans, organises, and prioritises own daily work routine to meet established schedule. Solves a variety of problems of limited to moderate scope and complexity requiring basic interpretation of defined procedures and practices.
