The Opportunity The position of Forensic Scientist II, Screening is within our Toxicology division located at Gretna, LA . This role will be responsible for operating the instruments used to perform the initial analysis of urine specimens for substances of abuse with the SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) mandatory guidelines and those of other regulatory organizations. Shift: 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm Monday to Friday  What You’ll Work On Operation and maintenance of the Screening Instrument and initial review of data. Perform moderate and high complexity testing. Operate, calibrate, and maintain analyzers. Troubleshoot issues with screening instruments. Knowledge of nomenclature and assay cutoffs. Knowledge of screening methods. Adherence to all security procedures for ensuring confidentiality of donor information. Adherence to all established guidelines outlined in the Employee Handbook.
