Title and Summary Manager, Product Operations The Manager, Product Operations will join a team driving product strategy, roadmaps, and execution of the future of Mastercard’s global core payments network. The payments network is Mastercard’s core strategic asset, directly driving over $8 billion in revenue and providing the platform for other key products and services. ISO 20022 is the global standard for financial messaging that enables richer, more structured, and interoperable data exchange across payment systems. Its adoption is critical for modernizing payment infrastructures, improving compliance, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting innovation in cross-border transactions. This role will support the enterprise strategy to ensure seamless implementation, positioning the organization for future growth and regulatory alignment. The role: Develop and execute ISO 20022 enterprise strategy across business units and technology platforms. Oversee multiple workstreams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of strategic objectives. Lead cross-functional initiatives and manage complex projects in a matrixed environment. Drive adoption and compliance with ISO 20022 messaging standards for payment processing. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Product, Data Governance, Operations, Technology, Compliance) to define roadmap and deliverables. Monitor industry developments and regulatory changes impacting ISO 20022 implementation. Establish governance frameworks for strategy execution and ongoing maintenance. Provide subject matter expertise on ISO 20022 to internal teams and external stakeholders. Define KPIs and success metrics for ISO 20022 implementation and report progress to senior leadership. Facilitate Executive Steering Committees and working groups to drive decision-making and alignment. Prepare and deliver executive communications, including bi-weekly status updates and strategic presentations. Ensure risk management and compliance throughout the implementation lifecycle. About you: Strong knowledge of ISO 20022 standards, payment systems, and regulatory frameworks. Experience with enterprise architecture and integration for payment systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate strategy into execution. Self-starter with ability to learn quickly and work independently. Adaptable to fast-paced, changing environments; comfortable with ambiguity. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities, both verbal and written. Skilled in creating clear documentation and compelling visual presentations. Strong project management and organizational skills. Collaborative team player with ability to build relationships and influence across all levels. In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
