This experienced senior level executive brings entrepreneurial vision, creative insights, and strategic discipline, operating with an enterprise mindset to build and scale a high-performing, catalog business within the label group—championing growth, innovation, and cultural relevance across an exceptionally diverse roster of artists across genres. The SVP combines frontline label instincts with catalog expertise—shaping the overall vision while inspiring and enabling the team to execute the strategy. This leader anticipates cultural and socio-economic shifts, makes data-driven decisions, fosters deep collaboration, and continuously evolves how our catalog connects with audiences worldwide. A core responsibility of this leader is to expand and deepen the global audience for the Interscope Capitol catalog—using data to identify opportunities, shape strategy, and convert casual listeners into super fans. This includes inspiring the team to bring Gen A, Gen Z, and emerging listener groups into the fold by treating every catalog song as if it is brand new and entering the market for the first time. The leader will create an environment where audience expansion, cultural reinvention, and fresh storytelling are central to the division’s mission. How You'll CREATE: Strategic Leadership & Vision Build and drive a global catalog strategy for Interscope Capitol that delivers sustained revenue growth, creative excellence, and artist impact across genres and territories. Operate with a frontline label mentality—speed, creativity, and artist-first thinking applied to catalog. Convert macro goals into actionable roadmaps, investment priorities, and performance targets. Anticipate societal, economic, and audience trends to keep the division culturally relevant and commercially strong. Lead the division in using data, insights, and cultural signals to develop strategies that reach new fans, grow global audiences, and drive conversion from listeners to super fans—positioning the catalog to resonate with next-generation consumers. Team Leadership, Talent, and Culture Build, lead, and inspire a diverse, high-performing team that blends creativity, analytics, and operational rigor. Recruit and develop leaders who own micro strategies (tactical campaigns, audience activations, commercial initiatives) and explicitly link them to the macro strategy. Create operating rituals (planning cadences, reviews, post-mortems) that reinforce alignment between day-to-day execution and long-term goals. Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, transparency, and inclusion. Operational Excellence & Execution Oversee planning and performance across marketing, digital, creative, revenue, and data teams to deliver artist-centric, high-impact campaigns. Translate strategy into operating models, KPIs, dashboards, and scalable processes that enable repeatable excellence. Ensure lockstep alignment with all teams both frontline and catalog. Artist & Brand Development Champion artist branding and storytelling, preserving legacy while reintroducing catalogs to new audiences. Build trusted partnerships with artists, estates, and management; align on long-term brand and commercial plans. Design socially and culturally relevant plans that deepen engagement and drive measurable outcomes. Partner closely with frontline teams on long-term brand-building efforts—ensuring the catalog reinforces and amplifies new music strategies while maintaining an always-on global approach to sustaining and elevating artist brands. Innovation, Data & Analytics Embed data-driven decision-making across the division—forecasting, opportunity sizing, media mix, creative testing, and lifecycle strategy. Explore emerging platforms, content formats, and technologies to improve discovery, engagement, and monetization. Run pilots with clear test designs; scale successful models across markets and rosters. Global Strategy & Market Development Manage catalogs for global artists with a consistent worldwide narrative, adapted for local market dynamics to maximize revenue. Partner with regional teams to activate local strategies that amplify global campaigns and unlock growth in underdeveloped or emerging markets. Use data to prioritize territories, release windows, partnerships, and format opportunities; optimize pricing and product architecture globally. Instill a global mindset—aligning worldwide objectives while empowering local nuance. Collaboration & Integration Serve as a connective leader across departments and regions to ensure unified strategy, messaging, and execution. Represent the catalog division internally and externally as a thought leader for artist legacy, innovation, and growth. Collaborate closely with frontline teams across both Interscope and Capitol to co-develop, align on, and jointly execute a cohesive, forward-looking catalog strategy—ensuring shared priorities, consistent global execution, and integrated artist development plans.
