In joining the CRM Engagement Solutions Team, a part of Shared Business Solutions (SBS), you'll become part of a highly capable and extraordinary group of Salesforce experts, ready to support our Sales and Service customers across Nationwide Financial. This role supports Salesforce, the Nationwide Financial Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform. This position is for a Business Product Owner (PO). PO’s “own” the Salesforce CRM product by delivering capabilities across Sales/Service Cloud. Partner with stakeholders, architects, and developers (Business Config & IT) to deliver high-value features, ensuring robust governance, data quality, and measurable outcomes for the platform. In 2026, Salesforce is standing up 2 development lines to accelerate Salesforce enhancements and run support for the platform. Based on capacity and business demand, this role may expand to include additional responsibilities within the team, utilizing relevant experience to support the broader Salesforce ecosystem as required. Key Responsibilities: • Support and execute on product vision, roadmap, and quarterly objectives • Define and drive release schedule, to coordinate & deliver CR's for both Configuration and the IT dev line • Transfer business outcomes into epics/features/stories for development, execution by IT line • Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release readiness in an agile environment • Govern release calendars, ensure UAT and provide sign-off on releases • Collaborate with architects on solution design and with QA on test strategy • Serves as the conduit between our teams, Nationwide Technology (The Force) and the SBS portfolio to ensure projects and enhancements are prioritized or backlogged • The Product Owner is responsible for coordinating with the Salesforce Product Manager, other Product Owners, Salesforce Leadership and Portfolio Leaders to define and prioritize projects, base camps, and requirements for the Salesforce Teams • 1-2 years of experience with Salesforce preferred Salesforce Administration Certification credential a plus (not required) Interested Applicants should be: • Ready and willing to help NF Shared Business Solutions provide tools, resources, and expertise to drive effective execution and partnership across NF, improving efficiency, accountability, and collaboration • Understanding of Nationwide Financial, it’s Associates, Customers and Partners are highly valued • Have a working knowledge of Salesforce and how its capabilities are leveraged across Nationwide Financial • Able to learn on the fly, adapt to a fast-paced environment and provide extraordinary customer service Skills and Experience Needed: Candidates should possess the following characteristics/experience: • Highly engaged, takes initiative, self-motivated • Organization & prioritization skills • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) • Great deal of probing/observational and problem-solving skills • Ability to develop strong working relationships with various business partners across levels of leadership • Able to juggle multiple tasks under tight deadlines & stressful situations This role will be expected to work a hybrid in-office schedule out of our Columbus location (2-3 days per week). You'll provide key support to the Business Capability Owner, representing the customer point of view while also examining processes and practices to determine how to best support the product and journey. Job Description Key Responsibilities: Analyzes user needs, defines and documents business requirements, validates assumptions, evaluates solution options, partners with User Experience to create prototypes, leads proof of concepts, recommends appropriate solutions to Business Capability Manager. Provides insight for Business Capability Owner to support prioritization of the work. Provides business process expertise directly or by leveraging SMEs; Conducts current state and future state process analysis. Consistently reviews KPIs that measure effectiveness of the product and journey with customers. Provide insights to Business Capability Manager on areas of opportunity and/or focus. Leverage curiosity and questions to ensure you gain the right understanding of current process and potential go forward options. Keeps up on the latest industry trends as well as customer needs and behaviors. Continually leverage technical skills and expertise and teach/train less experiences team members. Participates in agile ceremonies, daily stand ups, show and tells, iteration planning and retrospectives. Execute design and development on business configurable tools where applicable in support of operational partners. May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Reporting Relationships: Reports to Director/AVP. Typical Skills and Experiences: Education: Bachelors degree in business, IT or related field with advanced degree preferred. Experience: Typically, 5 or more years of demonstrated experience delivering initiatives and conducting customer research to inform value-based solutions. Experience executing in an agile environment, product-centric principles and managing mid-level initiatives. Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Sound knowledge of insurance industry, agile planning practices and customer design principles. Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative information and summarize for consumption by all levels. Ability to develop recommendations and influence the strategic vision and multi-year roadmap. Strong business process design skills and ability to communicate findings in a clear and concise manner. Ability to work interpedently and manage intermediate to advanced tasks that span different subject matters. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial. Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
