Job Description Summary Our Director Merger & Acquisitions (M&A) Data & Digital & IT Represents Data, Digital & IT (DD&IT) in the Novartis Operation M&A transactions (Divestments, Site Development, Acquisitions, Closings) against Novartis Business and against NewCo (Buyer/Seller) to cover all IT related aspects. In this role, you’ll manages the respective IT activities during all M&A phases, coordinating all involved DD&IT IT function to ensure M&A specific requirements are met in time and quality. Our Director M&A Data Digital & IT will optimize the use of available human, financial and service resources to provide highest possible business value, in the best interest of the organization. You’ll collaborate with the "buyer or seller" to ensure a smooth transition of sites, systems and services.   Job Description Major Accountabilities: Represents DD&IT in the assigned Novartis Operation M&A projects to cover all IT related aspects – this includes the following M&A scenarios: Site Divestments Site Development (partial Divestments, onboarding new companies/tenants) Infraparc related transactions Site Acquisitions Takes overall responsibility to define, scope and manage the DD&IT related activities linked to Novartis Operation projects with the affected Global Business Functions, the local site and the involved DD&IT Functions. Identify, mobilize and manages the required DD&IT team and resources to execute the DD&IT part of the M&A projects Involves and coaches the local DD&IT project managers and the affected global DD&IT application managers Optimize use of available human, financial and service resources to provide highest possible business value, in the best interest of the organization Collaborates with the "buyer or vendor" to ensure a smooth transition of sites, systems and services Take accountability to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures within Service Delivery scope (includes the OT / NORA specifics) Defines IT related timelines and milestones to achieve the overall timelines of Merger, Acquisition & Divestment projects Tailored handover of DD&IT know-how and related documentations (intellectual properties transfer aligned with business owner) to third party to support their system set up and keep operation on going System and data migration path for DD&IT systems in line with Books & Records regulations Cancellation of services and revoking of user access rights to protect Novartis information assets May deviate from existing procedures to ensure success of the overall business transactions, in line with current guidelines and regulations Ownership of approved project budgets Keep confidential projects protected Essential Requirements: Degree in a relevant field Deep expertise in all aspects of complex Enterprise Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestments activities Solid expertise in the data & digital domain with demonstrated capability to understand inter-dependences and nuances of data and complex IT systems Direct experience working in a senior role within a regulated environment with a proven ability to influence without direct authority across multiple cross-functional teams Demonstrated Program/Portfolio Management experience Proficiency in storytelling and Change Management expertise, with proficiency in English (written & oral) Nice to have: Scientific or Manufacturing background Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry, including know of GxP and/or FDA Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion: We are committed to building an outstanding, inclusive work environment and diverse teams representative of the patients and communities we serve.
