What you’ll achieve As a Senior Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software basis the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions. You will: Demonstrated proficiency in Linux OS internals, firmware, BIOS, device drivers, embedded software, system and network administration, databases, and development tools/utilities. Ability to create, design, and review architectural collateral across OS, firmware, and driver domains. Skilled in prototyping solutions to validate feasibility and guide scalable, flexible system designs . Capable of gathering business requirements and driving product definition and prioritization. Influences both hardware and software directions for features that extend beyond the OS layer. Proven track record of generating Intellectual Property to protect technical innovations and contribute to the organization’s competitive edge. Experienced in balancing short-term vs. long-term priorities and strategic vs. tactical needs. Skilled in optimizing trade-offs across cost, performance, quality, and schedule—especially in multi-project environments involving diverse OS platforms, tools, and hardware Take the first step towards your dream career Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table.
