This role demands deep expertise, strong cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to drive major engineering initiatives for the data protection filesystems that significantly impact the company's long-term goals. You will: Define and lead the technical strategy for complex data protection systems, acting as the top-level technical consultant for innovative solutions (especially in storage and data products). Solve the most challenging, cross-functional technical problems and execute hands-on development, ensuring superior quality, automation, and delivery targets are met. Provide technical mentorship and leadership, driving critical design decisions and communicating the strategic vision across the organization. Drive the adoption of AI and advanced engineering techniques to integrate new capabilities into our future products. Here’s what we are looking for with this role: Essential Requirements Good Experience of Unix/Linux systems programming in C, multi-threading and data structures. Demonstrated, deep technical expertise in C and Python/Go Lang, with required hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying complex containerized applications using Docker and the full Kubernetes stack. Strong Analytical, Debugging and troubleshooting skills using tools like GDB. Proven technical leadership in mentoring junior engineers and driving technical decisions. 12-18 years of related experience in distributed filesystems, storage/cloud and data protection. Desirable Requirements Own and manage the product backlog, define user stories and acceptance criteria for data protection scale-out filesystem. Experience in technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, leading and driving technical decisions.  Proven success in AI adoption, innovation, and integrating machine learning capabilities to enhance product features or system performance.
