Team Lead - Performance Optimization We are looking for a Team Lead to build and guide a team of Optimization Managers for our APAC Performance Optimization (PO), based in Singapore. This team is part of the Professional Services group and plays a critical role in driving customer growth, optimizing performance across a variety of domains, and providing expert insights to enhance merchant success. As the leader, you will be responsible for fostering collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring that our products deliver maximum value to merchants. What you'll do Lead & Develop a Consultative Optimization Team Build, coach, and scale a team of Optimization Managers who act as trusted advisors to merchants, balancing conversion uplift and fraud prevention. Set clear expectations around analytical quality, merchant impact, and consultative excellence. Provide regular feedback, coaching, and career development, fostering a culture of ownership, learning, and continuous improvement. Drive Merchant-Facing Payment Strategy & Impact Oversee the team’s delivery of merchant-facing optimization engagements and ensure recommendations are data-backed, product-aware, and commercially relevant, with clear impact measurement. Data, Analytics & Scalable Solutions Guide the team in using Adyen products, data solutions, and analytics tools to identify performance opportunities and risks. Champion scalable solutions (e.g. automated process, dashboards, playbooks) that improve efficiency without sacrificing quality. Partner with Product and Data teams to influence roadmap priorities based on merchant insights and recurring optimization themes. Cross-Functional & Commercial Partnership Act as a senior partner to Commercial, Product, Risk, and Operations teams across APAC. Ensure strong alignment between merchant needs, regional priorities, and global initiatives. Prioritization & Stakeholder Management Own prioritization of team capacity across merchant engagements, strategic initiatives, and capability-building efforts. Manage senior stakeholders by setting expectations, communicating trade-offs, and ensuring focus on highest-impact work. Payments, Fraud & Risk Thought Leadership Maintain deep expertise in payments, fraud, and risk trends, including regulatory and market developments relevant to APAC. Position the team as internal subject matter experts and external thought partners, contributing to Adyen’s credibility with merchants. Who you are 7+ years of experience in payments, fraud, risk, or payment optimization, with 2+ years in a people leadership role. Proven ability to lead teams that balance customer impact, scalability, and operational excellence. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence Product and Commercial partners through data and structured thinking. Strong prioritization and execution skills in a fast-paced, global environment. Clear communicator and confident presenter, able to engage senior external and internal stakeholders. Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
