Their ability to communicate effectively and take initiative ensures that they not only contribute to the technical success of projects, but also help drive overall growth and innovation within the company by sharing both best practices but also failures and learning from them. With your focus on and experience in SRE / operating large systems you will drive and spearhead operational excellence within your product area. What you'll be doing As a Staff Engineer (f/m/d) on the Product Delivery team, you will be responsible for: Leading technical initiatives that ensure software systems are reliable, maintainable, and operationally sound, especially in logistics- and manufacturing heavy domains Working in a hybrid infrastructure environment (cloud and on-prem), managing complex software deployments at scale Bringing a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) mindset to monitor, maintain, and improve software uptime including reliable updates, latency, and efficiency Acting as a bridge between digital product delivery & physical logistics and manufacturing systems, ensuring both are aligned and integrated Mentoring engineers across multiple teams and improving system-wide architecture, a maintainable and sound codebase and operational excellence incl. incident handling Helping define, monitor and evolve SLAs/SLOs as well as other important KPIs like e.g. OEE for critical systems What you bring You are an experienced software engineer with a strong background in Site Reliability Engineering or operations You possess practical experience in all key areas of modern software development, including infrastructure, observability, testing, deployment pipelines incl. quality assurance, and scaling You’ve operated and supported large-scale software systems in cloud and non-cloud environments (on-premise) You’ve worked in companies with strong operational cultures, ideally in logistics or manufacturing – understanding the commercial impact of system downtime You have experience mentoring and guiding engineers at various levels You are proficient with most of the following technologies Kotlin / SpringBoot Kubernetes Linux PostgreSQL TimeFold / Camunda / BPMN / Optimization Python / Bash is a plus OPC-UA / PLC / SPS is a plus You bring Cloud Operations experience Experience with Azure is a bonus You’re familiar with monitoring and alerting practices for production systems Experience with defining and working with SLAs/SLOs is a bonus You are willing to travel within Germany for in-person team events as well visiting our manufacturing location What we offer An unlimited contract with 30 vacation days.   Flexible, hybrid work: You can work from home or come into the office on the schedule that works best for you.
