Geotab is seeking a UX Developer who will design and build for our design system ‘Zenith’. If you love technology, and are keen to join an industry leader - we would love to hear from you! What you'll do: As a UX Developer your key area of responsibility will be contributing to the Zenith design system as both a designer and developer. You will need to work closely with the entire Zenith team, as well as external developers from across the organisation. The opportunity: 8-12 months work-term, beginning May 2026. How you'll make an impact: Define, design, and implement new design system components in collaboration with other members of the development and technical teams, based on industry standards and best practices. Translate detailed design documentation and use cases into functional applications. Conduct comprehensive code reviews and ensure that coding standards are followed. Participate in development of prototypes, minimum viable products and PoCs. Provide design documents and documentation to ensure efficient maintenance and code reuse. Help establish and trial improved processes for Design to Development hand-off. Actively engage with AI enablement and code connect to better improve our team efficiency Assisting with design, interaction, and user experience efforts across Geotab’s applications. Conducting desk research, participating in user testing and validation, and creating wireframes and mockups Contributing fresh perspectives and ideas during design team rituals such as critiques, reviews, research analysis, and town-halls. Supporting efficient iterative design processes by exploring a wide range of concepts and refining them. What you'll bring to the role: Completing a degree in computer science, Electrical/Software Engineering or other related discipline Experience programming with front end programming such as: React, JavaScript, CSS, Typescript and HTML. Proficiency in Git (or some other distributed source control tool) and are comfortable with resolving merge conflicts and renaming branches, etc. Proficient in product design software such as Figma, Figjam, Lucidchart, and usertesting.com. Understanding and working knowledge of design principles and visual dynamics. Understanding and working knowledge of design systems, and systems thinking Ambition, initiative, passion to learn design, and grow deep empathy for human problems. The annual base salary for this position is the expected annual salary for this role, and may be subject to change. Geotab offers various perks and benefits and other compensation components that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary for this position depends on a variety of factors such as but not limited to skills, qualifications, education and overall experience, including the location the applicant lives while performing the job. This also includes equity with other team members and alignment with local market data. All offers of employment are contingent upon proof of eligibility to work and the individual's ability to pass a background check.Hiring Range$20 - $27 CAD
