Meet the Team Our team builds and maintains the core backend services that enable our platform. We design and optimize APIs, architect distributed systems, and collaborate closely with product, SRE, and frontend teams. As a key contributor, you’ll work independently on end-to-end solutions and help shape the technical direction of our backend ecosystem. Your Impact You will be responsible for: Designing, implementing, and optimizing large-scale backend services Leading development efforts and collaborating on architecture decisions Ensuring service reliability, scalability, and performance Writing high-quality, testable, and maintainable code Mentoring junior engineers and fostering best practices across the team Driving technical improvements and contributing to the team’s roadmap  Minimum Qualifications: B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with  6+ years  of related experience Proven experience building and deploying production-grade backend systems Proficiency in backend technologies such as Python, NodeJS, and cloud-native tools (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes) Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservice design, and API architecture Preferred Qualifications: Experience leading design discussions and delivering end-to-end features Hands-on experience with performance tuning and large-scale systems Familiarity with observability and monitoring practices Experience collaborating with product and business stakeholders to define technical priorities and translate product needs into engineering tasks Strong communication and mentorship skills Team player with high sense of ownership and accountability Why Cisco?  At Cisco, we’re revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era – and beyond.
