The Deputy Manager – Material Flow Engineering supports the logistics team in executing strategy, planning, design, development, and deployment/installation of in-plant logistics systems, processes, and material handling/storage infrastructure across the end-to-end in-plant function (from inbound truck parking bay to internal/external warehouses, dock to marketplace, kitting, sequencing/auto call systems, and lineside parts feeding strategies). This role is critical in developing lean, agile, cost-effective solutions to ensure seamless production from the installed production line. The ideal candidate brings strong engineering expertise, digital transformation experience, and proven ability to work with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams.    Collaborate with the high-performing logistics engineering team and be responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing logistics systems (warehousing, transportation, and distribution).  Drive strategic initiatives including network design, capacity planning, cost-to-serve modeling, and logistics performance improvements.  Design and optimize warehouse layouts, material handling systems, and logistics flows using AutoCAD, simulation tools, and engineering analysis.  Evaluate and implement automation technologies (e.g., conveyors, ASRS, AGVs, robotics) to enhance productivity and throughput.  Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, IT, procurement, and 3PL partners to ensure alignment on logistics strategies.  Oversee RFPs and infrastructure investments related to logistics assets, including new site development or facility expansion.  Analyze logistics data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.  Contribute to lean logistics and continuous improvement efforts, including Kaizen events and Six Sigma projects.  Support new product introductions, plant launches, and business expansions by ensuring scalable and efficient logistics solutions.  Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and corporate policies in logistics operations.    Strong engineering and team coordination experience.  Analytical, organizational, and communication skills.  Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, global environment.  Attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.  Negotiation and vendor management skills.  Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.  Familiarity with sustainability practices and circular economy principles in packaging.  Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations.  Strategic thinking with the ability to align material flow initiatives with broader business goals.  Experience in supporting and developing high-performing, cross-functional teams.  Decision-making capabilities under pressure and in ambiguous situations.  Ability to influence and drive change across departments and external partners.  Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and developing talent within the team.  Effective conflict resolution and stakeholder management skills.  Demonstrated ability to support transformation and continuous improvement initiatives    Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics Engineering, or a related field (preferred).  7–10 years in the automotive industry with a strong understanding of supply chain systems and processes.  Minimum 2~3 years experience in Material Flow Engineering or a related supervisory/team lead role.  General knowledge of Lean Manufacturing systems such as TPS and WCM.  Experience in supporting the design of material flow systems for Completely Built Unit (CBU) programs.  Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
