If you are driven to create a better, more sustainable future, then this is the right place for you.Lucid’s Body Structures & Closures Team is looking for a CAD Engineer to design and deliver world leading Body Structures for our electric vehicle platforms.   Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates should have demonstrated the ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and be excellent at multi-tasking.  Responsibilities:  Create and modify 3D CAD models for body-in-white (BIW) structures and closures (doors, hoods, tailgates). Ensure models meet packaging, styling, and functional requirements. Apply design standards, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and best practices. Manage interfaces between body structures and other systems. Incorporate manufacturing feasibility requirements at component and system level. Maintain version control and compliance with company standards. Participate in design reviews and provide technical input. Support engineering release and change management activities. Qualifications:  3+ years experience in automotive Body Structures or Closures systems development at OEM or supplier desired  Proficient with CATIA V5/V6 or 3DX. Hands on experience with PLM systems such as Teamcenter, ENOVIA or similar. Ability to apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in designs. Understanding of common manufacturing process utilized for Body Structures & Closures components. Good knowledge of fundamental engineering principles and materials. Experience in full life cycle development from concept to prototype to full production is preferred. Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent from ABET accredited institution or equivalent body structures automotive experience  At Lucid, we don’t just welcome diversity - we celebrate it!
