About the Role We are seeking a System Reliability Engineer to join our Infrastructure Support and Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of Veeam’s Microsoft 365 and identity platforms. You’ll manage hybrid environments, support complex implementations, and serve as a trusted escalation point for critical services such as Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and Entra ID. This position offers the opportunity to work on enterprise-scale cloud systems, drive automation initiatives, and collaborate closely with global IT and infrastructure teams. What You’ll Do Administer and support the entire suite of Microsoft 365 services across the organization (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Power Automate, etc.)  Manage and maintain a hybrid mail environment, including on-premises Exchange and Exchange Online  Administer Single Sign-On (SSO) and Identity Management based on Microsoft Entra ID Configure and maintain Conditional Access, MFA, Enterprise Applications, and related Entra ID services  Serve as an escalation point and provide Level 3 technical support for services in responsible area  Participate in IT infrastructure and system implementation projects  Monitor and respond to infrastructure and service alerts, managing incidents from detection to resolution  Create, update, and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles What You’ll Bring Self-sufficient, proactive and result oriented Strong verbal and written communication skills with the flexibility to explain complex topics in a manner suitable for audiences with varying levels of technical expertise Broad understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem and cloud technologies 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD, including Conditional Access, MFA, and Entra ID applications  3+ years of experience administering and troubleshooting various Microsoft 365 services (Teams, SharePoint, Power Automate)  3+ years of solid experience managing Microsoft Exchange (both on-premises and Exchange Online)  Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and use of Microsoft Graph API for automation and reporting  Strong understanding of authentication and authorization protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect) Solid knowledge of the OSI model, network traffic fundamentals, and troubleshooting techniques Bonus Skills Experience migrating on-premises services to Microsoft 365 or Azure and managing hybrid environments Experience administering and troubleshooting Active Directory and Windows Server in multi-domain environments Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) What You’ll Get Two weeks of paid vacation, 12 statutory holidays, plus 4 extra global VeeaMe Days for self-care and 24 paid volunteer hours annually through Veeam Cares Paid parental leave: 8 days for fathers, 122 days for birthing parents, 92 days for adoptive parents Medical, dental, and vision coverage fully funded through INS Premium for employees and dependents Mental health support, therapy sessions, and virtual care via our Employee Assistance Program Retirement and social security contributions through Costa Rica’s statutory programs Life insurance equal to 24x monthly salary, plus disability and funeral coverage Daily cafeteria subsidy Fertility, adoption, and surrogacy support, plus 24 paid volunteer hours through Veeam Cares Opportunities to learn and grow through on-demand libraries (LinkedIn Learning, O’Reilly), mentoring, workshops, and learning events like our annual Global Day of Learning Please note: The position is based in San Jose, Costa Rica.
