About the Role We’re looking for a Manager for our Platform Engineering team in the Veeam Data Cloud (VDC) team. The mission of the Platform Engineering team is to provide a secure, reliable, and easy to use platform to enable our teams to build, test, deploy, and monitor the VDC product. As the Platform Engineering Manager, you will build and lead a high-performing, remote-first team, establish and execute the vision for our platform systems, and champion a product mindset.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership and communication abilities to build a cutting-edge Platform Engineering team and systems. What You’ll Do Define and communicate the vision and strategy for the team Build and mentor a motivated and cohesive team; foster an inclusive and diverse environment; promote career development Guide the design, implementation, and operation of cloud native platform systems Promote operational excellence, reliability and security Encourage the adoption of modern IAC, automation, CI/CD, and observability tools Partner with engineering, product, security and SRE teams to ensure the platform aligns with business objectives Actively participate in design discussions and code reviews Promote cross team collaboration What You’ll Bring 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams in the Platform, DevOps, or SRE domains 5+ years of hands-on experience as an engineer Experience building and operating high-scale cloud-native applications Experience promoting a culture of Operational excellence with SaaS products Experience with public cloud infrastructure Experience automating infrastructure through code using technologies such as Pulumi or Terraform Experience with GitHub Actions and other modern CI/CD tools A breadth and depth of hands-on experience public cloud services Ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly and understand how to drive a high level of focus and excellence with a talented and opinionated team High emotional intelligence, excellent communication skills, and empathy for others Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills are critical to success in this position Demonstrated ability to formulate data driven decisions that lead to results Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects Bonus Skills Experience with Azure What You’ll Get 26 paid days off annually, plus 4 extra global VeeaMe Days for self-care and 24 paid volunteer hours annually through Veeam Cares Paid parental, maternity, and paternity leave Fully covered family medical plan, dental, rehab, and vaccinations Life, critical illness, and disability insurance Employer pension contribution via PPK Monthly Edenred allowance of 450 PLN for meals MultiSport card fully covered by Veeam, giving access to sports facilities nationwide Up to 12 free therapy sessions annually, plus legal and financial advice Opportunities to learn and grow through on-demand libraries (LinkedIn Learning, O’Reilly), mentoring, workshops and learning events like our annual Global Day of Learning Please note: If the applicant is permanently present outside of Poland, Veeam reserves the right to refuse to consider the application for a job.
