About Us  SharkNinja is a global product design and technology company, with a diversified portfolio of 5-star rated lifestyle solutions that positively impact people’s lives in homes around the world. Powered by two trusted, global brands, Shark and Ninja, the company has a proven track record of bringing disruptive innovation to market, and developing one consumer product after another has allowed SharkNinja to enter multiple product categories, driving significant growth and market share gains. Headquartered in Needham, Massachusetts with more than 3,600+ associates, the company’s products are sold at key retailers, online and offline, and through distributors around the world.    The Manager of New Product Development (NPD) Quality for Skincare Devices plays a critical role in ensuring that innovative, consumer-loved beauty and skincare technologies reach the market safely, compliantly, and with exceptional performance. This leader will partner closely with Product Development, Engineering, Clinical/Scientific Affairs, Regulatory, and Manufacturing teams to establish and execute robust product quality strategies from concept through launch. The ideal candidate brings experience in consumer skincare devices, beauty-tech hardware, or medical-device–adjacent products, and is passionate about building processes that protect the consumer, elevate brand trust, and enable world-class product experiences. Key Responsibilities New Product Development Quality Leadership Lead quality planning for all skincare device programs, ensuring products meet safety, performance, and regulatory expectations across the full development cycle (concept → EVT/DVT/PVT → launch). Partner with R&D, Product Development, and Industrial Design to translate consumer needs, dermatological insights, and intended-use requirements into clear, measurable quality and reliability specifications. Establish and drive risk management activities (e.g., design FMEAs, hazard analyses, human factors evaluations) to proactively identify and mitigate safety or usability concerns. Skincare Device Safety & Claims Integrity Oversee safety assessments and biocompatibility requirements for skin-contact materials or components; coordinate internal and external testing as needed. Partner with Clinical/Scientific Affairs to ensure robust claims substantiation for skincare efficacy, device performance, and user-perceived benefits. Evaluate product design changes for impact on safety, performance, compliance, and claims validity. Testing Strategy & Validation Define and execute test plans that assess reliability, environmental durability, performance repeatability, skincare-use conditions, and consumer misuse scenarios. Collaborate with internal labs and third-party testing partners to ensure protocols reflect skincare-specific risks (e.g., heat, light, vibration, cleansing agents, wet environments). Lead the development of validation strategies (e.g., DV/PV test plans) that ensure consumer-ready quality at launch. Cross-Functional Quality Collaboration Act as the quality representative in cross-functional program teams, providing guidance on requirements, risk, testing readiness, and quality gate approvals. Support Engineering and Manufacturing teams in DFM/DFA reviews, process capability analysis, and identification of critical-to-quality (CTQ) parameters. Partner with Supply Chain and Supplier Quality to evaluate and qualify suppliers for skincare-relevant materials and components. Defect Prevention & Continuous Improvement Analyze early development builds to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities—ensuring issues are addressed before mass production. Drive lessons learned, quality standards, and best practices into future skincare device programs. Champion a culture of quality-thinking and consumer safety throughout the organization. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical, Electrical), Quality Engineering, or a related field. 5–8 years of experience in product quality, reliability engineering, or new product development roles. Experience with skincare devices, beauty-tech hardware, wearables, or consumer devices that include biological interaction, heat/light/sonic technologies, or medical-device–adjacent features. Strong understanding of risk management principles (e.g., FMEA, hazard analysis) and human factors engineering. Proven ability to design or oversee test plans, reliability campaigns, and validation activities. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and guide decision-making. Preferred Experience with ISO 13485, IEC/UL safety standards, or regulatory expectations for wellness/beauty devices. Knowledge of material safety, biocompatibility, or dermatology-related considerations. Familiarity with claims substantiation, consumer product testing, or clinical evaluation methodologies. Experience working with global suppliers and manufacturing partners. Who You Are Consumer-obsessed, with a passion for creating safe, delightful, high-performance skincare device experiences. Analytical, structured, and data-driven—yet flexible enough to thrive in a fast-paced consumer goods environment. A proactive problem-solver who can identify risks early and build scalable solutions. A collaborator who builds strong partnerships across R&D, PD, regulatory, supply chain, and leadership teams.    Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is displayed below.
