We are seeking an accomplished Engineering Manager to play a pivotal role in elevating our app ecosystem. In this mission-critical position, you will: Lead the Review and optimization of the application’s ecosystem architecture to ensure scalability, reliability, and seamless integration across markets. Position SCOPE & Key Responsibilities AS Engineering Manager The candidate will report to the Head of Mobile Apps. The team is fully based in Bucharest, at Edenred Digital Center. In their role, the engineering manager will focus on the App’s API ecosystem, while keeping a view on the overall product. The successful candidate will participate in the design, development, roll-out and support of worldwide systems that will be used every day by millions of people, being responsible for: Team Leadership:  Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Execution Management:  Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Technical Guidance : Provide technical direction and support to the engineering team, ensuring best practices in software development and system design. Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Design, and Operations, to define and deliver high-quality products. Team organization : Manage teams effectively, balancing workloads and prioritizing tasks to meet project deadlines. Performance Management : Conduct regular performance reviews, set objectives, and provide continuous feedback to team members. Process Improvement : Identify areas for improvement in the development process and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity. Recruitment:  Participate in the hiring process to attract and retain top engineering talent. Innovation : Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, and drive initiatives to incorporate new technologies and methodologies. Required skills & profile Education Software Engineering or Any Related Engineering Degree Skillset Skillset Extensive experience in cross-functional development and technical leadership in large scale products. Over 5 years of development experience (an early experience on payment and/or mobile development is highly desirable). Experience in growing a development team. Experience working within a product-led company that places value on coaching and servant leadership. A goal-oriented person, preferably with experience in working with, and driving OKRs (or other management frameworks). A critical thinker who can break complex problems into their simplest components. An excellent communicator with infectious energy, and a flare for motivating others. Previous experience working in cross-functional teams that balance product and engineering needs. Mindset Passionate about digital product development with purpose. Servant leadership.
