The Edenred Digital Center (EDC) in Bucharest, Romania is Edenred Group's largest Digital hub for strategic tech projects. We are looking for a Senior Accountant to be part of Financial team in EDC. Job description and key responsibilities Perform the day-to-day processing of financial transactions (e.g. ledger entries, journal postings) to ensure that accounts are maintained up-to-date and accurate in accordance with local statutory requirements and IFRS; Monitor and analyze P&L, Balance Sheet amounts, ensure their correctness and deal with eventual discrepancies; Execute timely monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes; Responsible for timely payments of suppliers, payroll, cash-flow management, banking and treasury operations; Ensuring the management of the invoicing process for ongoing projects; Prepare, analyze and review aging and reconciliation of IC transactions; Verifying and booking expense reports; Follows and correctly applies the Romanian Tax Legislation that is relevant to the company's business; Required skills and profile Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Accounting, Economics); Experience with Local GAAP (Romania) Proven 3+ years of expertise in accounting, internal control and tax; CECCAR, ACCA certifications are an advantage; Experience with IFRS is a plus; Good communication skills; Analytical and solution oriented to resolve complex accounting or reporting issues, with attention to detail; Very good planning and organizational skills; Language: fluent English skills are mandatory; Knowledge of: MS Office/Excel/Power Point; International Financial Reporting Standards; VAT, tax and statutory regulatory filings.
