The Edenred Digital Center (EDC) in Bucharest, Romania is Edenred Group's new Digital hub for strategic IT projects. Context/ROLE As part of Edenred’s global cybersecurity strategy, the Application Security Center of Expertise (CoE) supports all Business Units worldwide in improving security-by-design practices. The AppSec CoE provides services including penetration testing, DAST/SAST analysis, risk assessment, and AppSec governance. The team works closely with Security Leaders, Developers, Architects, and Product teams to embed security into design and development processes. To strengthen this capability, we are looking for an Application Security Engineer who will help structure and enhance AppSec practices across the organization, combining technical expertise, secure design, and governance support. This role is both technical and advisory, contributing to secure architecture reviews, AppSec documentation, and emerging topics such as Cloud Security (CSPM) and AI/LLM security. Your Responsibilities Perform secure architecture reviews and threat modeling for new and existing applications. Define, maintain, and evolve AppSec guidelines, standards, and security control documentation. Support vulnerability management activities (pentests, DAST, SAST, Bug Bounty) and provide remediation guidance. Provide security input on authentication (MFA), API security, and session management implementations. Contribute to cloud application security initiatives (CSPM findings, hardening recommendations). Explore and help secure emerging technologies, including AI/LLM integrations and data protection controls. Collaborate with developers and product teams to promote security-by-design and secure coding practices. Support the team in AppSec awareness and the evolution of secure SDLC processes. Your profile 5+ years of experience in Application Security, Security Architecture, or related fields. Solid understanding of web, mobile, and API security (OWASP Top 10, ASVS, etc.). Experience in threat modeling and secure design reviews. Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS / Azure) and CSPM tools. Strong technical writing and documentation skills. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams. Fluent English (spoken and written). Nice to have Experience with DevSecOps and integration of AppSec controls into CI/CD pipelines. Understanding of AI/LLM security and data protection requirements. Relevant certifications: CSSLP, OSWE, AWS Security Specialty, or similar.
