We are expanding our team in both Tokyo and Osaka to better serve our customers (in Japan and other international markets), with a new focus on firmware development using modern languages like Rust. What You Can Expect Architect, design and develop system software for reliable, scalable, high performing network and storage systems using C/C++/Rust. Participate in code and test plan reviews Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, validation, and software teams to define and refine firmware requirements. Debug and troubleshoot firmware issues using tools such as JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.  Contribute to unit and integration testing, ensuring high test coverage and robustness. Support bring-up and validation of new hardware platforms and features. Document design decisions, APIs, and usage guidelines for internal and external stakeholders. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, especially in secure firmware and modern programming practices. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing Drive adoption of modern test automation practices (CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, Ansible) Support simulator and tools development as part of a global team What We're Looking For B.S./M.S. (CS/EE) with 8+ years of experience 5+ years of programming experience in either C/C++ Strong working knowledge of Python Experience with Rust or other modern systems programming languages is a strong plus. Familiarity with secure firmware architectures such as Caliptra is a strong plus Ability to read and understand large embedded systems codebases Experience in test planning, test case development, scripting, execution, and reporting Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills Good communication skills in English and Japanese Preferred Skills   Experience in embedded systems testing Knowledge of SSD firmware architecture and NAND technology Experience testing NVMe & PCIe protocol-based products Experience with protocol analyzers and trace analysis Exposure to secure boot, cryptographic primitives, and hardware root of trust concepts Familiarity with secure firmware standards such as DICE, SPDM, or TCG specifications.
