The Manufacturing Engineer will coordinate manufacturing processes by developing, evaluating and improving manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. YOUR IMPACT:   These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned: Under close supervision, perform basic engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks as assigned according to Oshkosh Corporation’s engineering standards and processes. Support more senior engineers in the preparation of plants, designs, computation methods, and reporting. Responsible for a project or part of a project of limited complexity; may be responsible for managing multiple projects. Provide technical assistance for prototype, pilot, or production build. Analyze space requirements, workflow and designs layout for equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. Review and process engineering information through change notices, change proposals, continuous improvement requests etc. Participate in cost studies, project time estimation, and technical proposals. Review legislative and regulatory proposals or actions to determine impact on projects. Review and recommend fixture and tooling design. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:     Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering or related field. One (1) – two (2) or more years of experience.             STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:   Knowledge of equipment manufacturing industry or automobile industry. Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma tools. Experience in Microsoft Office Suite; including a strong emphasis on Excel. Analytical and problem-solving skills. WORKING CONDITIONS: The following represents general working conditions for this office-based role. Specific conditions may vary depending on business needs and individual circumstances.   This role is primarily performed in a professional office environment with standard lighting, ventilation, and temperature-controlled settings.   Duties are largely sedentary , requiring extended periods of sitting and using a computer and telephone.   Visual acuity to operate a computer and read documents is required , along with auditory ability to participate in virtual and in-person meetings.   Occasional movement within the office environment is necessary, including walking short distances, standing, or reaching for files.   Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role.   Pay Range: $73,200.00 - $117,800.00 The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
