Retail Staff Accountant Intern We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Retail Staff Accountant Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in general ledger accounting functions and reconciliations required for the Retail Group. The intern will provide valuable support in the presentation of financial materials, assist with various accounting projects, and serve as the primary accounting interface for our home center locations as assigned. This position will provide exposure to key accounting functions, including month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger management. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist in executing daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger procedures. Support the Retail and GAAP close processes Assist with GL account reconciliations Help maintain fixed asset records and assist with journal entries as needed. Support P&L analysis and reporting activities. Provide general administrative support related to accounting functions and projects. Work closely with accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting. REQUIREMENTS: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Extensive Excel knowledge and application. Strong problem-solving abilities and organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail. Self-motivated, flexible, and a team player. Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels of the organization. Familiarity with Sequel Viewpoint, Cognos, Access, or other financial software is a plus. Knowledge of Global Financial Software and/or Oracle ERP is preferred, but not required.
