Content Marketing Internship Position Summary: Clayton offers a multitude of different opportunities through our Summer Internship Program. The Clayton Summer Internship Program challenges students to think critically and analytically within their field of study while allowing them direct, hands-on working experience. The Content Marketing Intern will aid in the brand perception of clayton by completing and presenting a brand audit, and other content optimization projects. Internship Program Details: Internships are paid, full-time, hourly positions. Internship dates are May 18th – August 7th 2026 Internships include several professional development workshops and opportunities for networking with other interns across Clayton's various lines of business. Interns will facilitate a presentation of their Summer project to Clayton Senior Leadership at the completion of their internship. What you will do: Writing and editing short-form copy assignments Participating in brainstorms and other relevant meetings for content optimization projects Completing and presenting a brand audit What skills you will learn or develop: Experience writing for and collaborating with a digital content team Practical knowledge of SEO/AEO strategies Auditing a brand’s messaging and marketing tatics Comfort in presenting for a corporate audience Qualifications: Must be a rising senior, or recent graduate majoring in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or English. Strong command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation Ability to write clear, engaging, and concise copy Understanding of tone, style, and voice consistency Ability to research topics, industries, and competitors effectively Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines Willingness to learn from feedback and adapt writing style Ability to collaborate with designers, marketers, and editors Comfortable creating slide decks and reports to present to the team Perks of Interning at Clayton: Clayton’s internship program offers the opportunity for interns to complete real, value-add work projects while building both interpersonal and technical skillsets.
