QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Previous experience working with disadvantaged students EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree and state of Mississippi certification             ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES , include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices.  Conduct orientation workshops for students, parents, community, and other related entities.  Screen applicants for participant eligibility. Refer ineligible students to appropriate or alternative services Maintain participant files Meet with UB Director and target school principal regularly Conduct participant follow-up surveys Participate in in-service meetings Work with target school counselors in coordinating project activities Perform other duties as required to achieve program goals and objectives SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  N/A PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
