About the unit     The Surgery Department  has 3 operating rooms,  2 endo suites, c-section room and supports other services including manometry and bronchoscopy.  It is the busiest regional site performing roughly 200 more procedures than other top performing regional sites monthly.  We see a variety of cases including multi-specialty, ortho, general OB/GYN, urology, dentistry, Ear Nose and Throat, and bariatric.          About Zeeland Hospital     Since 1921, Corewell Health Zeeland Hospital has delivered care that's advanced, yet makes you feel at home.  With our help, your family can work toward a lifetime of good health in the Ottawa and Allegan county communities.   Our hospital offers a close-knit community feel with the advantage of being supported by a larger healthcare system.        Scope of work       Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health.
