About this Position This position will support our group classes - Pool, After Rehab and Yoga as well as coverage in the surgical optimization clinic at the Royal Oak Hospital, providing education to patients preparing to undergo joint replacement surgery. About Outpatient Clinics   Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.  Scope of Work Under the general direction of the supervising physician, the athletic trainer delivers athletic training services to encompass the prevention, examination, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of emergent, acute or chronic injuries and medical conditions. Athletic trainers (AT) are highly qualified, multi-skilled health care professionals who develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health care programs for athletes and other patients. Under the direction of, on the prescription of or in collaboration with a physician, the practice of athletic training includes the treatment of an individual for risk management injury prevention, clinical evaluation and assessment, immediate care and treatment, and rehabilitation and reconditioning of injury or illness, or both. Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree Completion of a CAATE approved athletic training education program or educational equivalent. Preferred Master's Degree Post-certification Master's degree in athletic training.
