Corewell Health is offering up to $10,000 as a sign on bonus for this opportunity! About this unit    The Helen DeVos Children's Surgery department completes over 8000 cases per year. It has 8 operating rooms including one with a fully integrated iMRI suite. HDVCH surgery is verified as a Level 1 Children's Surgery site through the American College of Surgeons. Our unit is staffed 24/7 with a team of RN’s and Surgical Technologists. Our physician teams consist of all pediatric certified Surgeons and Anesthesiologists. Helen DeVos OR supports a large variety of specialties including: ENT, General, Urology, Robotics, Plastics, Ortho/Ortho Spine, Cardiac, Dental, Burn, Ophthalmology, and Neurosurgery.   About Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital    We fight for every child. We have both inpatient and ambulatory spaces as well as a Level 1 trauma Emergency Department designated to children.   Scope of work    The Surgical Technologist maintains responsibility for preparation of the surgical suite, intraoperative handling of instruments, maintenance of the sterile field, and evaluation of changing conditions during the surgical procedures, making appropriate responses as needed. Is responsible for maintaining knowledge of surgical procedures and principles related to those procedures. May serve as a Preceptor.   Qualifications    Associate's degree or equivalent in surgical technology  OR the Successful Completion of an Accredited School of Surgical Technology.
