Join Our Team as an Automation Process Specialist at Johnson Electric! Location: Ancaster, Ontario (onsite) Travel: Occasional travel to support implementation at other sites As our next Automation Process Specialist , you’ll lead the design, programming, and implementation of advanced automation systems. You’ll drive innovation, mentor technicians, and ensure high operational efficiency across manufacturing processes. What You’ll Be Doing: • Design and implement new automated systems aligned with operational goals • Write and debug complex automation programs • Develop long-term strategies for automation improvements • Mentor junior and intermediate technicians • Research and implement cost-effective, innovative automation solutions • Lead the automation team and manage project resources • Conduct maintenance and preventive schedules to ensure >95% line availability • Drive continuous improvement to achieve >95% OEE • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and JE’s safety and environmental policies • Perform other duties as required What We’re Looking For: • Diploma in Automation Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related field • 5+ years of experience in automation systems design, programming, and implementation • Experience leading and mentoring technical teams Bonus Points If You Have: • Proficiency in PLC, SCADA, Python, or similar automation programming tools • Strong understanding of automation architecture and system design principles • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills How to Apply: Apply online at www.johnsonelectric.com – We can’t wait to meet you!
