For more information about Solenis, please visit www.solenis.com .  As a Mechanical Technician you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot site equipment to provide a safe operation with maximum production availability. The most important aspect will be working safely within a team to accomplish common goals. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. 5 years maintenance experience maintaining, operating, and repairing industrial fork lifts. Experience in an industrial plant is preferred. Capability to perform basic mathematics, including fractions, decimal, and minor algebra. Possess a good working knowledge of maintenance and repair of fork trucks, golf carts, diesel engines, and other vehicles. Knowledge of and experience with all types of drive train equipment (gears, bearings, belts) Rigging experience is preferred, along with the operation of lifting equipment. Capability of using various types of measuring instruments necessary for the job. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting experience. Principal Responsibilities: Work in a safe manner to prevent injury to self or others. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical components of chemical production and packaging processes. Perform preventative maintenance procedures and repairs. Utilize blueprints, schematics, manufacturer specifications and manuals to troubleshoot and repair equipment Knowledge and experience using PCs, software, e-mail, SAP. Recommend changes to existing systems or equipment to improve reliability or accuracy or further optimize the process. Recommend tools, equipment, or methods to improve the safety or timeliness of system repairs. • Requires on-call hour coverage to support 24-hour operations, if needed.
