Environmental Management and Protection : Gathers supplemental environmental data and other relevant information relative to project activities, issues, and concerns as required by Pollution Control Officer / Environmental Protection Lead to validate and update the environmental aspects/impact database in managing environmental hazards and risks. Conducts field surveys for baseline environmental profiling (for project expansion), and the development of site monitoring programs ( existing projects)   to ensure full compliance and conformance to environmental standards. Maintains environmental monitoring devices, and ecological field equipment through testing and calibration to ensure accurate sampling data is obtained/gathered. Conducts ambient air measurements of H2S and sound level to monitor compliance with the National Ambient Air Quality Standards and PD 984.   Conducts discreet monitoring in case of on-line Air Quality Monitoring (AQM) Station breakdown Conducts in-situ measurements and collection of effluent samples and domestic discharges from the operations and maintenance of pollution control facilities  ( sumps and thermal ponds, RIW, blowdown lines, sewage facility) to monitor compliance with the Effluent Standards (DAO 35). Conducts in-situ measurements and collection of water samples from the established impact stations to monitor compliance with Water Quality Criteria ( DAO 34) Implements the proper handling, storage , labeling, and disposal of hazardous wastes located in the waste storage facility in compliance with the RA 6969 and in conformance to established environmental procedures/processes. Implements the proper handling, storage , and labeling of non-hazardous wastes located in the material recovery facility (MRF) in compliance with the RA 9003 in conformance to established environmental procedures/processes. Reports all data gathered to PCOs / EOsthrough the use of any available office application for trending of the results as prescribed in the environmental procedures for proactive implementation of the environmental program in correlation with the business operations. Attends the developmental activities through training, immersion, conferences in collaboration with the PCOs  and Environmental Protection Lead as part of his / her individual development plans.
