Key Responsibilities: Review and implement initiatives that optimize the Materials management operation Monitor incoming shipments and collaborate with the logistics and inventory groups for the safe and efficient movement of goods, readiness of laydown area at the site and ensure an on-time processing of payments to service providers Develop, continually assess and execute strategy, process changes, and protocols that embody industry best practices to enhance and elevate operational performance. This may involve streamlining workflows, implementing new technologies, or optimizing warehouse layouts to enhance space utilization Work closely with the inventory management and operations research groups to implement inventory control measures that prevent stockouts, overstock situations, and strategies for obsolete stocks, up to the disposal process. Conduct business case to evaluate soundness of initiatives Prepare and keep track of the department’s budget on a monthly basis and ensure phasing are followed. Develop solutions to logistics problems to improve the groups hit-rate Participate in reviewing and negotiation of rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers Resolve problems related to transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports or customer issues Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities Liaise between logistics and inventory groups to harmonize the two processes to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements Keep track of the process changes and ensure alignment within the division SCM, customers and partners relating to the changes. Qualifications and Requirements: BS in Engineering, Business-related course or Customs Administration At least 5 years of experience in SCM, particularly in Warehousing and logistics operations. Experience in the renewable energy or oil & gas would be a big plus. At least 2-3 years of experience in people management and process improvement. Training related to import – export logistics operations, Customs procedures, and local and international cargo forwarding.
