We continue to pursue innovation with world-class research in our Endoscopy department. We perform standard endoscopic procedures with exceptional attention to detail. Our experience from treating a high number of patients leads to accurate testing and treatments that improve your quality of life.   A caregiver in this PRN position works  Days, from 7:00am—3:30pm.   A caregiver who excels in this role will:    Assist nurses and physicians in all aspects of GI procedures. This includes assistance with the stocking of all rooms with equipment and supplies and maintaining proper procedures for the cleaning and storage of endoscopes.   Change chemical sterilant and clean scope washer according to policy.   Prepare and send out scopes for repair after notifying director.   Assist in the orientation of new personnel to all in room procedures and to the process for cleaning and disinfection of scopes.   Perform clerical duties if needed in the absence of the scheduler.   Transport specimens according to policy using universal precautions.   Make pre-op calls to patients to obtain preliminary information.   Identif y opportunities for cost savings and make full use of existing resources.     Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:    High School diploma or GED.   Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA).   One year of experience in a hospital setting.   Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:    One year experience as an Endoscopy Tech Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMT).   Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
