At Cleveland Clinic, you will work alongside passionate and dedicated caregivers, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.         As a Physical Therapist, you will   utilize   various exercises to help patients increase strength, range of motion,   endurance   and coordination.   Because this position requires close interaction, you have the opportunity to build strong relationships with both patients and their families.   Often, your patients are dealing with pain, so sensitivity is important.   Ultimately, your   unconditional support and reassurance can drive them to work hard and regain their health .       A caregiver in this position works   PRN,   rotating between Tiffany and St. Lucie West locations,   with the   opportunity   to work up to   4 0   hours   per week   Monday   –   Friday   8:00am – 4:30pm .     A caregiver who excels in this role will:    Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.    Interpret plans and supervise patient treatments   in accordance with   the   physician   referral, ensuring the care,   safety   and wellbeing of the patient.   Review and evaluate the patient's response or   lack thereof   to   treatment.   Make recommendations to the physician   relative   to the need to continue or   discontinue   physical therapy treatment.   Provide   appropriate documentation   of each   patient   visit   in accordance with   departmental policies and procedures.   Be responsible for   the maintenance and care of all equipment and apparatus.   Be responsible for   the economical use of supplies,   linens   and utilities.   Provide   appropriate billing   for each patient visit   in accordance with   departmental policies and procedures.    Assist   in on-the-job training of all ancillary personnel.      Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:    Bachelor’s Degree or certificate   Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association or a related international degree   Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)    Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross   Internship experience     Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:     Experience in an acute-care setting   Personal Protective Equipment: Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.                         The policy of Cleveland Clinic Health System and its system hospitals (Cleveland Clinic Health System) is to provide equal opportunity to all of our caregivers and applicants for employment in our drug free environment.
