Here, you will receive endless support and appreciation while building a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.     As an RN in the Cardiac Cath Lab, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare education as needed. Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources.  A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00AM - 5:30PM, with on-call requirements. A caregiver who excels in this role will:   Provide direct nursing care.  Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.   Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.   Administer prescribed medications and treatments.  Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.   Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.  Educate patients and their families.    Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing  Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)  Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience  Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)  Two to three years of nursing experience EKG knowledge Telemetry/ER/Stepdown/ICU Experience Physical Requirements: Requires frequent walking from department to department; requires sitting at a workstation or desk; requires standing; work may include occasional pushing and/or pulling, lifting, and carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs., such as files, documents and computer printouts. Work requires finger dexterity and eye/hand coordination to operate a computer keyboard at a moderate skill level. Mental Demands: Ability to work at a fast pace and prioritize multiple assignments/projects and respond to numerous requests; ability to resolve conflicts among staff and to work collaboratively with department directors, physicians and other members of the healthcare team; ability to ensure operational efficiency; ability to problem-solve and make decisions; ability to exercise self-control and tolerate stress when dealing with multiple requests and/or conflicting demands from multiple customers.
