As an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician, you will support essential medication workflows by managing Pyxis dispensing machines, refilling and delivering medications, maintaining inventory and completing sterile and non-sterile compounding. This role is vital to ensuring safe, timely and reliable medication availability for patient care. A caregiver in this role will work every 3rd weekend rotation. Additional shifts will be based on availability.   A caregiver who excels in this role will:   Review and assess medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential and actual drug related issues.  Recommend formulary alternatives when appropriate.  Compound and prepare medications for delivery to patient care areas.  Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients.  Communicate with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate care.  Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   Enrolled in an accredited College of Pharmacy program and meets education requirements to qualify for intern license in the State of Ohio OR International pharmacy experience which meets the requirements to qualify for the Foreign Graduate Pharmacy Intern License Current State Board of Pharmacy Intern License (PH/INT) before your start date Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Prior hospital experience Physical Requirements: Typical physical demands include ability to perform functions of the job while reaching and stretching, and manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions of job.
