Here, you will work alongside a passionate and dedicated team, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.   The Bone Density Technician is responsible for performing high-quality Bone Density (DEXA) scans in accordance with established protocols and safety standards. You will ensure accurate imaging and proper documentation while maintaining a focus on patient comfort, care, and safety. This role collaborates with healthcare providers to support diagnostic and treatment planning by providing clear and precise imaging results.   A caregiver in this position works days, 7:00am—3:30pm or 7:30am—4:00pm .   A caregiver who excels in this role will:    Produce images of optimal quality for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.   Analyze scans and make preliminary interpretation of results.   Maintain documentation/database requirements to ensure that all technical data is entered timely and accurately.   Notify management and take proper action to address equipment malfunctions.   Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.   Ensure patient comfort during and after the exam.   Report, immediately , any malfunctions to help desk and PACS Administrator.   Provide instruction/mentoring to new hires and Radiology students.   Strive to learn new technical information and skills through attendance of periodic in-service programs and participation in professional affiliation sessions.   Participate in off-site community educational events.   May be required to rotate through all imaging modalities, sites, and/or locations.   Other duties as assigned.     Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:    Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology   Must be a Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT), in good standing   Certification in Bone Densitometry (BD) required within one year of hire: R.T. (R) (BD) (ARRT)   Certification as a Bone Densitometry Technologist (CBDT) through the International Society of Clinical Densitometry required within one year of hire   Current state licensure required prior to employment   Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross   Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   One year experience as a general Radiologic Technologist with BMD training   Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
