As a Medical Assistant on this team, you will collaborate with fellow staff to create a welcoming, comfortable environment for patients, families and visitors. You will assist with medication management, patient monitoring, administrative tasks and more. All your work helps ensure the best possible health outcomes. Additionally, you will receive ample opportunities to enhance your skills, gain hands-on experience and explore advanced positions at Cleveland Clinic.      A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide professional nursing care to patients.   Administer medication.   Maintain complete and accurate documentation in medical records and files.   Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.    Implement pain management assessments and documentation.   Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO.   Follow Code Blue protocol.   Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   Graduate of Accredited LPN program  Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)  Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Knowledge of Infection Control Practices Experience with technology  Computer literacy  Phlebotomy background and able to draw blood Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  One year of clinical experience  One year of experience in outpatient setting Experience with adult populations Experience with EPIC Neurology background Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. May require extended periods of standing, walking or sitting. Good visual acuity through normal or corrected vision. Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible. Note: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.
