In this role, you will help facilitate a comfortable environment for patients, ensuring they are safe, secure and supported throughout treatment. This position offers an excellent way to directly improve outcomes, all while gaining extensive hands-on experience, developing as a nurse, meeting exciting new people and finding your place within an innovative healthcare setting.     A caregiver in this position works  varying shifts from 6:30am—5:00pm. This position requires days/nights/weekends/on-call/holidays.     A caregiver who excels in this role will:     Assist surgeon and/or senior resident in thoracic and cardiovascular surgical procedures.   Assist the surgeon during coronary anastomosis, implantation of prosthetic valves, resection of aneurysms, etc.   Function as the Surgical Scheduling Officer for the Department.   Review preoperative patient data with each staff surgeon.     Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:     Graduate of an accredited School of N ursing     C urrent state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)   Completed Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) course   Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) Certification   Privileged by CCF Credentialing Board   Two years of Operating Room experience     Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:     Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA) Certification   BSN     Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. May require extended periods of standing, walking or sitting. Good visual acuity through normal or corrected vision to normal range. Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
