Martin North Hospital is part of the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic, a nonprofit, multispecialty, academic medical center that integrates clinical and hospital care with research and education.   Martin North Hospital's Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) has a shared governance professional practice model that allows for multidisciplinary team collaboration, working on solutions to best innovate, improve and advance their mission. As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to help them feel comfortable, safe and secure throughout treatment. You may also float to other Martin locations, creating another avenue through which to develop knowledge within various units. For a full list of benefits, click here .  Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources.  A caregiver in this role works nights from 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. with weekend and holiday requirements. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide direct nursing care.  Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.   Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.   Administer prescribed medications and treatments.  Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.   Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.  Educate patients and their families.    Float to other Martin Hospitals as needed.    Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)  Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)   Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross  Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross must be presented upon hire or within first year of employment  One year of current acute care RN experience.
