We are committed to serving the community and  treating  our patients as family.   Administrative Assistants are an essential part of Cleveland Clinic’s smooth operation, allowing caregivers to focus on patient care and   improve   coordination between the nursing team, administrative   teams   and providers. In this role, you will support   not only the Manager of the Department of Health Sciences, but the   additional   Health Scientists, Senior Scientist and Biostatistician. The Department of Health Sciences   is responsible for   the educational scholarly activities of our eight residency programs, three fellowships, and all research fellowships and student experiences.   You will help support this department t hrough   booking events,   preparing   and sending emails, overseeing the office, and   managing Residents and students.   Here, you can build a rewarding career with one of the most respected hospital systems .         A caregiver in this position works Monday – Friday   from   8:00AM – 4:30PM   or 7:00AM – 3:30PM .   A caregiver who excels in this role will:    Manage and prioritize multiple assignments.    Act as a liaison between internal and external customers.    Answer and triage phone calls.   Administer calendar and schedule management.   Compose and prepare a variety of   correspondence   (e.g., reports, forms, presentation materials, messages, etc.).   Provide coverage of other areas, such as front end, point of   service   and registration.   Coordinate management functions.    Assist   with special projects.      Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:    High School Diploma or GED   Five years of office experience   Experience using Microsoft Office Suite products (Outlook, Word,   Excel   and PowerPoint)     Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   Associate's degree   Two years of administrative assistant experience, preferably in healthcare   Typing   proficiency   of 35 WPM with accuracy   Physical Requirements: Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment Ability to travel throughout the hospital system Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information In some locations, ability to move up to 20 pounds Personal Protective Equipment: Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment.                         The policy of Cleveland Clinic Health System and its system hospitals (Cleveland Clinic Health System) is to provide equal opportunity to all of our caregivers and applicants for employment in our drug free environment.
