The caregivers at Euclid Hospital have made it an excellent medical facility and a home away from home.   Euclid Hospital’s 9th floor Med/Surg and Stroke Unit is designated for patients who have recently suffered from a stroke and provides the highest level of comprehensive stroke care that ensures patients are being treated quickly, leading to improved outcomes and reduced recovery times. For a full list of benefits,    click here .     Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources.        A caregiver in this position works nights, 7:00pm—7:30am, with every other weekend and holiday required.        A caregiver who excels in this role will:    Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.    Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.    Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability).    Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.    Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.    Document in patients’ medical records.      Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:     Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing      Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)     Basic Life Support (BLS), through the American Heart Association (AHA)   One year of current acute care RN experience.   Will consider licensed military RN experience.    Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:    Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)   Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
