A reasonable estimate of the current range is:   Grade: Technical 408 Pay Range: $116,000.00 - $174,100.00 Job Description About the Team This team is the SME group for O365, Entra, Azure, Intune, and M365 products that students, faculty, and EdTech rely on. Any technology issues—whether migration, integration errors, or backend challenges—that cannot be resolved internally are escalated to vendors. You’ll be part of the backbone that keeps WGU connected and collaborative. As a Senior Systems Engineer – Enterprise Collaboration , you will design, implement, and optimize WGU’s Microsoft 365 ecosystem, ensuring seamless collaboration and scalability across the institution. What You’ll Do • Lead design, implementation, and support of Microsoft 365 solutions, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive. • Serve as the primary system administrator for collaborative platforms, managing configuration, integrations, and performance. • Drive enterprise migrations for O365 and Exchange Online, ensuring secure and efficient transitions. • Develop automation scripts using PowerShell to streamline administrative tasks and reporting. • Collaborate with product, IT, and business stakeholders in an agile workflow to deliver innovative solutions. • Mentor junior technical staff and provide strategic recommendations to leadership. • Create and maintain documentation for systems, policies, and procedures. What You’ll Bring • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 6+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft 365 administration and engineering. • Expertise in Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Azure Active Directory. • Advanced PowerShell scripting skills for automation and deployment. • Experience with Intune, Azure Information Protection, and Enterprise Mobility & Security solutions. • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation. Bonus Points if You Have • Master’s degree in a related field. • Experience with AWS, GIT, SQL, Java, Angular, or Salesforce. • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
