The Role As a Quality Intern at the Torreón Distribution Center, you will play a key role in the digital transformation of quality reporting processes. Your main project focuses on digitizing quality, scrap, and laboratory reports to streamline reporting time and enable teams to focus on problem‑solving and continuous improvement. What You’ll Do (Impact Areas) Lead the digitalization of Quality and Scrap Reports, including PPMs and laboratory (Electrical and Chemical) analyses in the new Distribution Center. Develop classification codes to identify root causes of scrap. Build Power BI dashboards for scrap management, including cost allocation to plants. Create the foundational structure for full digitalization of the quality laboratory’s workflows. Collaborate with Quality, Operations, and Systems teams to standardize data flows and reporting consistency. What Success Looks Like By the end of the internship, you will have: Fully digitized versions of key Quality and Scrap Reports. Power BI dashboards that reduce report creation time and improve decision‑making. A functional taxonomy for scrap origin classification. An established digital framework for laboratory analysis reporting in the new DC. Noticeable time savings in reporting activities and stronger focus on corrective actions. Core Competencies Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset Ability to work with technical teams and understand operational workflows Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy Proactiveness, autonomy, and curiosity to propose improvements What You Bring (Qualifications) Applicable Backgrounds: Students in Systems Engineering, Informatics, or Mechatronics , or related fields with strong interest in data, quality, or digitalization. Preferred Skills: Essential: Strong proficiency in Power BI Data modeling and visualization Ability to create structured digital reports and dashboards Basic understanding of quality processes (desirable) Work Model & Travel On‑site at Torreón DC No travel required Our Commitment to You You’ll contribute to a high‑visibility digitalization initiative that impacts quality management across the Distribution Center.
