The Role As a Maintenance and Spare Parts Intern for AGM Assembly Lines at our Torreón plant, you will contribute to the identification, registration, and management of critical spare parts to ensure operational continuity. Your work will focus on improving spare parts administration, reducing downtime caused by unavailable components, and optimizing costs through local sourcing. What You’ll Do (Impact Areas) Identify and register critical spare parts for AGM Assembly lines. Manage and administer spare parts inventory, including lifecycle determination of mechanical components. Interpret electrical diagrams and mechanical drawings to support accurate part identification. Model components using CAD software and assist in machining processes when required. Update and maintain spare parts records to ensure traceability and availability. What Success Looks Like Elimination of prolonged downtime due to missing critical spare parts. Improved spare parts administration and inventory management. Cost reduction by sourcing components from local suppliers. Increased percentage of spare parts coverage for AGM Assembly lines. Core Competencies Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Ability to interpret technical diagrams and drawings. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with office software (Outlook, Excel, Word). What You Bring (Qualifications) Applicable Majors: Electromechanical Engineering Mechatronics Engineering Additional Skills: Experience or interest in spare parts management and mechanical design. Analytical mindset and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively and independently. Work Model & Travel On-site at Torreón Plant. No travel required.
